Today I’m unboxing my entry for the Patina Thunderdome leather-goods category: a Nicks Handmade Belt built from Wickett & Craig natural vegetable-tanned strap leather. This thing is substantial—1.75 inches wide, roughly 12–14 oz thick, and finished with solid brass hardware. Natural veg tan starts almost completely untouched, so every mark, bend and day of wear should show up over the course of the Dome. Six months from now, this belt should look completely different.
