The Science Cowboys, Episode 11 : Medical Electronic Textiles

The Science Cowboys, Episode 11 (in English) MEDICAL E-TEXTILES This project was presented at the Expo-Sciences regional finals 2018, Montréal, primary school division. For this work, Alexander and Anastasia Skorobogatiy were awarded a regional prize (Prix Régional TAZ). Smart textiles (also known as e-textiles) are able to react "on their own" by adapting to their environment. Smart clothing will increasingly feel like a second skin. It will be able to comfort, protect, amuse and even heal its owners. Medical textiles allow uninterrupted medical follow-up and patient healing through continuous presence on the patient's body. In our project we explore the fabrication of smart textiles capable of measuring, controlling and displaying the temperature for potential applications in medicine.
