I don’t believe in camouflaging your cracks— you cannot heal until you acknowledge where you are broken. This collection is about the beauty found in imperfections, once you accept them. Imperfection isn’t a bad thing— you cannot live life without breaking. Imperfection is a sign of a life truly lived. I chose to call this collection Kintsugi, the golden healing, after the ancient Japanese art of mending precious ceramics with gold. I believe that we all carry gold in our hearts, and once we agree to share it with others, we become part of the healing energy of this world.
