Part 3 making Rose Boarding Suit from titanic! 1910s bespoke tailoring fashion

Part 3! So pleased with how this Titanic suit came out! I literally spent like 30+ hours easily on this Rose Boarding Suit coat (because yes it complicated but also I made a few mistakes hehe) Super huge thank you to @moodfabrics for the wonderful wool twill fabric, velvet and the horsehair canvas (the stiffener). I haven’t worked with such a nice wool before and I think it’s why the suit looks so Crisp!! Technically my “white dress” for the month of July is done but I do need to finish the massive hat that brings this look all together! Titanic has so many wonderful costumes and also incredible hats! 🎩 Yes, all of this extra hands stitching and everything I did was a more professional way to do it. I could’ve done the fusible interfacing route, but over time that stuff can fall off, and I didn’t want to put fusible interfacing on such nice fabric! Also doing the hand sewing was so much fun and I loved the challenge to custom Tailor a suit and make it fit over a corset! New challenge indeed!
