How To Use Sewing Machine for Beginners | EP. 04

Learning how to use a sewing machine online is tricky because there is lots to cover. Luckily, I've been there. I've been the beginner wanting to know all the tricks and tips to a sewing machine. I've asked myself, can I teach myself to use a sewing machine? I knew it was possible, but it would take time. So over the years, I've learned what to do (and what not to do) + also sewing machine etiquette. And from those experiences, I've listed them all in this video. What are the parts to a sewing machine? What is a bobbin? How do I get thread on a bobbin? How do I thread the machine? What's a backstitch and how do I do it? I answer all of this because they're important! If you watch this video from start to finish, you'll learn how a sewing machine works step by step. I wanted to create a video that covers the absolute basics so beginners who just received their first sewing machine can get started on the right foot. The goal from this video is to help you learn how to use a sewing machine as a beginner. It doesn't matter if you want to quilt, upholster, or tailor, this video applies to everyone and anyone wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine for the first time. You'll typically catch me using the Singer HD 4423, as I've had the same one for over 7 years. The 4423 model is the most basic model that has my must-have features: automatic buttonholes, adjustable presser foot pressure, free arm and stretch stitches (view Singer HD 4423 here: https://www.singer.com/GLORYALLAN) -- 0:00 Intro 0:34 Parts of a Sewing Machine 3:17 How Do I Load a Bobbin? 5:11 How Do I Thread a Sewing Machine? 8:30 What Should My Sewing Machine Settings Be? 16:28 What's the Best Project to Start Sewing as a Beginner? 17:02 How Do I Sew?
