From Handmade Jewelry to Building Community | Rebekah Harris on Living 757

For Rebekah Harris, supporting small businesses is about more than shopping local — it’s about creating community and celebrating culture. The owner of Divine Design Studio 2 joined Living 757 to share the mission behind her Latino vendor market, an event designed to spotlight Latino-owned small businesses throughout Hampton Roads and create a family-friendly space to celebrate culture, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Rebekah explains why she felt it was important to create an event specifically centered around Latino vendors, especially in a local market scene where she didn’t often see many opportunities dedicated to showcasing the Latino community. This year, she’s also using the event to give back by collaborating with a nonprofit organization in Puerto Rico and collecting donations to support its mission. Rebekah is an entrepreneur herself. She launched Divine Design Studio 2 after becoming frustrated with buying jewelry only to see everyone else wearing the same thing. With encouragement from her husband, she turned her creativity into a business and now creates custom jewelry, accessories, bookmarks, keychains, artwork, and more. And because this is Living 757, we couldn’t end without a little fun — Rebekah also puts the hosts to the test with a quiz on common Spanish phrases.🇵🇷😂 ▶️ Watch the full segment to meet Rebekah Harris, learn more about Divine Design Studio 2, and hear why supporting Latino-owned businesses matters so much to her.
