January's Notion of the Month theme is Cozy Season Crafts. National Hat Day is coming up on Wednesday (January 15), and we’d like to inspire a fun & fancy Faux Fur Pillbox Hat DIY creation. . What You’ll Need: 🎩 Faux Fur Trim 🎩 Medium Weight Felt 🎩 Glue Gun & Sticks 🎩 Needle & Thread 🎩 Scissors 🎩 Ruler 🎩 Measuring Tape 🎩 Marker . What You’ll Do: 1 - Measure the circumference of your head around the temple, or where your hat will sit on your head. Using an online converter, find the diameter of your circumference measurement. 2 - Cut out 1 x circle and 2 x stripes of medium weight felt, to meet your measurements. Note: The width of your 2 x stripes should match the width of your chosen faux fur trim. 3 - Glue the felt circle and strips together using hot glue. 4 - Glue fur on top of hat to cover. Ensure your pieces are placed so the fur runs in the same direction. Cut off any excess. 5 - Glue fur around the edge of your hat, being careful not to leave a large seam between the top & side fur. Note: Before gluing the side fur, you can sew the side fur in place along the top seam (as seen in the video) to give the seam between the top & side fur a more finished look. . #Shorts #NotionOfTheMonth #CozySzn #CozySeason #CozyCrafts #DIY #Project #NationalHatDay #FauxFurHat #PillboxHat
