Yesterday I had the big honor to do a LIVE with Carry Somers, the founder of Fashion Revolution a not-profit global movement, the world’s largest fashion activism movement. Carry recently also was a crew member of the Exxpedition, a sailing boat who study the micro plastics pollution in the ocean. The mission of Fashion Revolution is to reform the fashion industry with a focus on need for greater transparency in the fashion supply chain. This is the reason why they created a fashion revolution challenge and they ask to people to ask the brands #WhoMadeMyClothes and now they also add #WhatIsInMyClothes to know which fabrics use the brands. Do you know that syntactic fabrics are the cause of the micro-plastic pollution? The mission is to sensitize the brands to be more sustainable and at the same time to consumers to buy more consciously because if we buy less, we will have less waste! Do a research of sustainable brands and I will also write on my blog www.vfashionworld.com a list of sustainable brands that I like Make sure to follow fashion revolution on Instagram @fash_rev Tomorrow 24th is April is the 7th Anniversary of the Fashion Revolution Day. They decided this date to remember the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh when on the 24th of April 2013 the entire building collapse. For more information and to read the FASHION TRANSPARENCY INDEX for to the website www.fashionrevolution.org I hope you found this video interesting please LIKE & SHARE to spread the awareness!
