The fashion industry is not as glamorous as it looks. Here is what nobody tells you. One pair of jeans takes 3700 litres of water to make. Burberry burned 4.7 crore dollars worth of unsold inventory rather than put it on sale. A Dior bag costs 2500 rupees to make and sells for 3 to 4 lakh. Prada sells Indian Kolhapuri chappals for 1 lakh with zero credit to Indian artisans. And H&M and Zara's sustainable collections were found to be 96% fake in an investigation.
