Welcome to Season 2, Episode 37 of the Life Amplified webinar series by Amputee Aid and our Hello Fall, Hello Friends Series — conversations highlighting people, organizations, ideas, and resources making a difference in the limb loss and limb difference (LLLD) community. 🎙 In this episode, Jennifer Paine, Executive Director of Amputee Aid, is joined by Alex of Leg Out Apparel for a conversation about limb loss, adaptive clothing, entrepreneurship, disability representation, confidence, and self-expression. They also explore why authentic representation of amputees in fashion, business, advertising, and everyday life matters — and why people with disabilities should be represented as more than patients or inspirational stories. 💬 In This Episode: • 🦿 Alex’s personal journey with limb loss • ❤️ Identity, independence, and confidence after amputation • 👖 The everyday clothing challenges amputees can experience • 💡 How Alex’s own experience inspired the idea for Leg Out Apparel • 🧵 What Alex saw missing from the traditional clothing industry • ♿ Why adaptive clothing is about more than simply making garments easier to put on • 👕 Designing clothing around the needs of amputees and people with disabilities • 🚀 Turning a personal challenge into a business • 📱 Building Leg Out Apparel into a brand and community platform • 📸 Why authentic amputee and disability representation matters • 🌎 Seeing amputees represented in fashion, entreprene
